There are 04 cemented Basketball courts (2+2) available according to the FIBA (Federation International Basketball Association) standard with sufficient space and sitting capacity around. Two central courts are equipped with floodlights, and the other two are in front of the Aurobindo Hostel. Students participate in the inter-branch tournament, invitational tournament, MST, All India inter NIT Basketball Tournaments, and the All India Advani Basketball professional players Tournament. The Institute team won many laurels for the institute at different levels.

Apart from regular Basketball, students organize (03 on 03) three Three Basketball Tournamentwhere more students participate with full enthusiasm and motivation. Modified rules and regulations are being implemented.
The institute Volleyball team is one of the most culturally diverse teams, including members from all corners of the country. We are a friendly team and offer almost non-stop social events. We welcome all abilities and have a group willing to coach players with little to no experience. There are three standard clay Volleyball courts in the institute with floodlights. Volleyball is one of the popular games of the institute. Students regularly practice and participate in inter-branch volleyball tournaments, invitational tournaments, MST, and All India inter NIT Volleyball Tournaments and bring laurels to the institute.

It is the responsibility of each NITs to ensure their Volleyball playing Kit (Jersey, Shorts, Shoes etc.) for participating in the All India inter NIT Volleyball Tournament. The Organizing NIT will provide no playing kit except for Match Volleyball.
Suppose players share the Libero position from match to match. In that case, a player shall wear different Colors from other Team members and the same jersey number whenever they play, whether they are orare not assigned to the Libero position.
Match Volleyballs officially approved (Nivia Leather pasted) shall be used in the practice, inter-branch, andAll India inter NIT Volleyball Tournament.

There are three standard Synthetic Tennis courts in the institute with floodlights. Tennis is one of the popular games of the institute. There are plenty of opportunities to play tennis at the institute Tennis courts; whether you want to play competitive tennis or turn now and then, there will be a place for you! Our institute is open to those wishing to play regular competitive tennis or have a social game every week.
Students regularly practice and participate in the inter-branch tournament, invitational tournaments, MST, and All India inter NIT Tennis Tournaments and always bring laurels to the institute. We have men's teams and women's teams, so there is plenty of room!

The inter-branch Tennis Tournament for Boys/ Men shall be played in five matches: 02-Men Singles, 01-Doubles, Reverse Singles, and 4th Singles. No player may play more than three matches in a tie. A team must win three matches in a tie to be successful. Each match is the best of three games.
Each Men Captain of participating inter-branch Tennis Team shall give the players' names and order of matches specified as A, B, C, etc., in Singles and AC, etc., in Doubles.

There is no separate Cricket field in the institute. Cricket is being played on the common playfield. There are two turf cricket wickets in the center of the playfield, and two cemented cricket wickets nets for practice. Students are participating in the inter-branch, invitational, MST, and All India inter NIT Cricket Tournaments and won many laurels for the institute.
The competition shall be conducted under the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) rules or ICC cricket Rules and Regulations (https://www.icc-cricket.com/about/cricket/rules-and-regulations/playing-conditions) unless otherwise modified by the institute.
The All India inter NIT Cricket Tournament for Men will be played following T20 Rules and Regulations.

Apart from regular cricket, students organize the Hong Kong Sixes (Tennis Ball Cricket) Tournament where more than 1000 students participate with full enthusiasm and motivation. Modified rules and regulations are being implemented.

The institute has two standard football fields, commonly known as a playfield. Football is one of the most popular gamesat the institute. Students are regularly practicing under Dr. Subir Debnath (Sports Officer & certified Football Coach) and participating ininter-branch tournament, invitational tournaments, MST and All India inter NIT Football Tournaments and played with satisfactions and laurels.
The competition shall be conducted under the Indian Football Association, abbreviated as IFA (https://www.the-aiff.com), unless otherwise modified by the institute.
The Duration of all League matches shall be 30 (thirty) minutes each half with an interval of five (5) minutes after the first half in the inter-branch Football Tournament.
In the case of Knock out Tournament, 30 (thirty) minutes, each half with an interval of five (5) minutes, will be given. An extratime of Five (5) minutes each half shall be allowed in case of draw Games with an interval of two (2) minutes. If no decision is reached after the extra time, the tie shall be decided by the Penalty Tie-breaker rule.
Each branch Football team's responsibility isto ensure their Football playing Kit (Football Studs, Jersey, Shorts, and Shine guards) for participating in the inter-branch Football Tournament. The institute will provide no playing kit except Match Footballs.
If both the teams have the same color of Kit, then Bibs will be provided by the institute for that particular match.

There is a common playfield where the Track and Field is prepared before any tournament with sufficient space around. There are stairs in one side of the field for watching athletic performances. Many students are practicing morning and evening, out of which 20 to 30 players are selected for institute team based on individual performance for each sports tournaments. Institute won many laurels in many Athletic meet of the country.
There is no separate Yoga & Meditation Hall in the institute. Students practice Yoga on the VLTC porch or Open-air Theatre. Institutes provide Yoga mats and stretch bends for practice. Students practice regularly and participate in the inter-branch, invitational,and All India inter NIT Yoga Tournaments. Through participation in Yoga and meditation, students develop a healthy and balanced lifestyle and also overcome academic stress.
The competition shall be conducted for both Men and Women categories separately.
Lots shall draw the sequence of participating teams during the manager's meeting.

There is one covered Badminton court are available according to the BWF standard with sufficient space around. There are sufficient spaces for watching badminton matches. More than 30-40 players including faculty are regularly practicing, out of which 4 to 5 players are selected for institute team based on performance for different sports tournaments.
We are having only one standard size billiards table with all necessary accessories.
There is no any permanent Table Tennis facility in the institute. Temporarily it is being played in the OLH. Until last session institute was winning many positions in TT tournaments. Players are selected for institute team based on individual performance for each sports tournament separately.
There is no any permanent Chess facility in the institute. Temporarily it is being played in the badminton Hall and sometimes in the Basketball Stadium. Institute team is winning many positions in TT tournaments. Players are selected for institute team based on individual performance for each sports tournament separately.
There is a standard Gymnasium hall in the institute. Gymnasium equipments are in the process of purchase. Engineering students are more interested for the physique & physical culture. Institute team is winning positions in most all the tournaments for Power Lifting and Best Physique. Players are selected for institute team based on individual performance for each sports tournament separately.
