Prof. Pradhan is an award-winning expert in natural hazards, including spatial predictive modeling and hazard and risk assessments. He is a global pioneer in combining spatial modeling with statistical and machine learning techniques for predicting hydrometeorological extreme events, such as terrigenous mass movements, floods, and droughts. His work bridges multiple disciplines involving spatial intelligence, remote sensing, data science, environmental change, and machine learning. With over 750 journal articles published and amassing 60,000 citations, Prof Pradhan has been recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher for five consecutive years (2016-2020) by Clarivate Analytics. He ranked number one (1) in the field of "Geological & Geomatics Engineering" during the calendar year 2021, according to the list published by Stanford University Researchers, USA.
