Education is crucial in rebalancing the country's socioeconomic fabric as India's citizens are its most valuable resource, our billion-strong nation requires nurturing and care in the form of basic education to improve its quality of life. The Department of Secondary Education and Literacy is focused on "universalization of education" and developing better citizens from our young people, whereas the Department of Higher Education is focused on providing world-class opportunities for higher education and research.
The Ministry's main goals would be to develop the National Policy on Education and ensure that it is implemented in letter and spirit. Provide financial assistance to deserving students from deprived sections of society in the form of scholarships, loan subsidies and so on. Encouraging international cooperation in education, including collaboration with UNESCO, foreign governments, and universities to improve educational opportunities in the country.
